Normal Post
Normal post is mail service where you don't have records of the postage you have done. After the postage has been completed the customer can hand over the letter over to the counter or drop it in the mail box outside. Enquiries cannot be made on items posted using normal post.
Registered Post
- The purpose of registered post is to enable the customer to make inquiry of posted letter & documents.
- When using registered post the sender’s detail and recipients address should consist of the full address.
- A receipt will be given to customers who are using registered post.
- An inquiry can be made only within six months of postage.
- Registration fee is MRf 20.00 In addition to the postage
Delivery Standards
Outgoing letters
- Delivery is within 4-8 days to the below mentioned countries
- Sri lanka, India, Singapore, Bangladesh, Switzerland, Germany, Italy, UK, UAE
- Rest of the countries is 8-14 days
Incoming Letters
- Next day delivery within the Male’ zone
- Delivery to areas having air links is within 3 days.
- Islands having air links are: Seenu Atoll, G dh. Thinadhoo, L. Fonadhoo, H Dh. Hanimaadhoo
- Rest of the islands is 8-14 days
